About me

I started making things online before I knew design could be a job. As a teenager, I earned pocket money customizing profile pages on BBS communities and taught myself enough CSS to make each page feel personal.

Later at USC, I studied Communication Management and thought I would work in marketing or business. Then I took UX Design and Strategy at the engineering school, finished the course at the top of the class, and realized product design could bring together research, data, business thinking, and the joy of making something useful and impactful.

Today, after 7 years in product design, my work often starts before there is a clear solution. I partner with Product to frame the problem, define success, and shape direction from a short brief or an open question.

I do not follow one fixed process. I choose the approach based on the goal, user problem, pace, unknowns, and people who need to align, then stay close to the details through shipping and learning after launch.

I am drawn to consumer products where content, community, and social interaction shape what people discover, choose, and share. I enjoy designing across different media formats and AI-powered experiences to make those moments more useful, engaging, and worth coming back to.

Beyond the products themselves, I also enjoy starting with a specific user problem and exploring whether it needs a new kind of solution. At rednote, several of the interaction solutions I designed led to patent applications.

Outside work, I run a lifestyle account on rednote that started with fashion and styling and grew into travel, photography, outfits, and vlogs. More than 15K people follow along.

At work, I design for creators and audiences. After work, I become a creator myself.
